Taryn Reid

Taryn Reid is an associate attorney at Beach, Cowdrey, Jenkins LLP. Her practice focuses on the defense of healthcare facilities, licensing and compliance measures for healthcare providers, insurance litigation, employment disputes, and general tort litigation.

Prior to becoming an associate, Ms. Reid was a law clerk at the firm, where she gained extensive experience defending healthcare facilities. While in law school, Ms. Reid worked at both the United States Department of Justice in the Constitutional and Specialized Torts Branch and the United States Department of Health & Human Services in the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General in Washington, D.C. While at the federal government, Ms. Reid gained invaluable experience litigating and processing claims under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Compensation Act, and in regulatory and compliance work regarding the Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act, Corporate Integrity Agreements, Self-Disclosure Protocols, and Exclusionary Appeals.

Ms. Reid received her law degree from UCLA School of Law (J.D., 2019), where she was a member of the Health Law Society and an Articles Editor for both the Disability Law Journal and the Pacific Basin Law Journal. She also received several awards for her trial advocacy and negotiation skills.

She earned her undergraduate degree in three years from UC, Irvine (B.A., 2015), receiving a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, with minors in Public Health and Medical Anthropology. During this time, she was on the Dean’s Honor List, inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honors society, and was designated as an Order of Merit Scholar. She also served as a board member and competitor of UC Irvine’s Mock Trial program, which at the time was ranked number one in the nation.

Ms. Reid is admitted to practice in the state of California and the United States District Court, Central District of California.

Ms. Reid is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA).

When not practicing law, Ms. Reid enjoys searching for her next great meal, board games, and spending quality time with her dog.
