After graduating from San Francisco State with an undergraduate degree in journalism, Scott Zonder worked as a newspaper reporter for seven years, covering a wide range of subjects, including the courts, police, planning and land use, education and investigative reporting.
He then went to Santa Clara Law School, and graduated magna cum laude in 1987.
He has practiced law for more than 30 years, initially as a deputy district attorney prosecuting felonies and misdemeanors. After entering private practice, he has represented a wide range of clients, from law enforcement agencies to major insurance companies, in cases involving wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, fraud, catastrophic injury and business disputes. He has conducted numerous jury trials through verdict.
He is admitted to all California courts, U.S. courts of the Central District and Northern District of California and the Southern District of Arizona.
In his spare time, he likes reading mysteries, golfing with his wife, and playing with their two rescue dogs.
