Melanie Ely graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctorate from Ventura College of Law in 2010.
Following Ms. Ely’s admission to the California State Bar in 2010, she worked for a litigation firm in Ventura where her practice focused on personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice. Ms. Ely’s current practice involves the defense of health care providers against claims of professional negligence and elder abuse. Ms. Ely is admitted to practice before all California state courts as well as the United States District Court – Central District of California.
Ms. Ely is the current President of the Ventura County Barristers. She is a life-long Ventura County resident and resides in Ventura with her husband and step-son.
