Geraldine Parthenia “Gigi” Bellows-Barrows, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Literature and Writing from California State University, San Marcos, and a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. She was admitted to practice law in California in 2006, and Texas in 2012, and is admitted to practice before all California and Texas state courts,
During law school, Ms. Barrows was recognized for her outstanding scholastic achievement in Trial Advocacy and Evidence, and was accepted into her law school’s highly regarded California Innocence Project, where she advocated for the wrongfully imprisoned. After law school, she briefly clerked for her father, R.G. Bellows, a renowned plaintiff’s attorney in San Diego, California, specializing in catastrophic personal injuries. After passing the California Bar, Ms. Barrows relocated to Northern California with her husband, Dr. Brad Barrows, and began her career as a defense attorney.
Ms. Barrows started her career as in-house counsel to one of the top insurance carriers in the United States, which allowed her the opportunity to litigate throughout California and Texas, including Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Houston. She has focused her career on defending clients in matters involving personal injury, wrongful death, product defects, catastrophic injuries, premises liability, and professional negligence. She has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including first-chair jury trial experience in both California and Texas.
Ms. Barrows lives in Ventura County with her husband and spends her spare time restoring a powder blue 1968 El Camino named Camillia, painting, curating the Bellows-Barrows art collection, and volunteering at her local library.
