Edie Brookes attended University of Missouri – Kansas City’s undergraduate and School of Medicine programs. She graduated as Valedictorian of the Ventura College of Law class of 2000.
Following Ms. Brookes’ admission to the California State Bar in 2000, she worked for and became a partner at a litigation firm in Encino where her practice focused on the defense of personal injury and premises liability claims. Her reported opinions include Maroney v. Iacobsohn (2015) 237 Cal. App. 4th 473.
Ms. Brookes’ current practice involves the defense of health care providers against claims of professional negligence and elder abuse, as well as defending premises liability and wrongful death lawsuits.
Ms. Brookes is admitted to practice before all California state courts as well as the United States District Court – Central District of California.
Ms. Brookes resides in Simi Valley with her husband.
